2 Line Phones Are Interesting
When phones first started being used people generally only had one phone per household. This was not only due to the size of the phone but also because it was simply to expensive to own more than one, not just due to the cost of the phone, but also due to the cost of installation and everything else that goes with a phone. As the history of the phone progresses it runs into the problem of people wanting phones in more rooms of their houses for convenience. After all, who wants to be at one end of the house, or even outside, and have to go all the way around just to get the phone. And remember: answering machines haven’t always been as dedicated and useful as they are now so it was generally necessary to run and get the phone.
Because of this people have gotten interested in 2 Line Phones which allow there to be multiple phones in the area that can be picked up at the same time for a sort of conference call. These phones come in many different numbers and most are expandable past the first couple of phones. Generally, these systems have an answering machine attached to them and are entirely cordless. However, you can get corded phones as the base phone but any additional phones usually have to be wireless. With these sort of systems there are usually two or more lines, depending on the phone and they are commonly used for business. They also are used in small business telephone systems.
Most people set up 2 Line Phones in the most commonly used rooms in their homes.
Sometimes this does include the living room but the base system is usually placed in the kitchen. A secondary phone can be placed in the office and in the master bedroom for easier access to the phone at all times. The final phone, if four were purchased, should go where it would be most useful, generally in the lst room of of the house that is occupied on a normal day. By having 2 Line Phones, it’s easy to ensure that there will always be a phone near by in case there’s a call that can’t be missed.
